Lunus sponsors aerodesign team in SAE Brasil AeroDesign 2013 Competition

The realization of AeroDesign 2013, that occurred between October 24 and 27 , was attended by Lunus by sponsoring the Team Raptor Federal University of Juiz de Fora.


The Lunus congratulates all the teams participating in the program, especially the Team Raptor (UFJF) for their commitment, dedication and unity; that even with all the challenges and interference during competition proved hard to overcome all challenges.

Factory Acceptance for SeaSpace System acquired by INMET

Sunday, LUNUS´engineers, Etienne Schneider Monteiro and Wellington Moraes, arrived in the United States/California-Poway to initiate, tomorrow, June 24th, the event “Factory Acceptance” for SeaSpace System acquired by INMET to update the tracking system, reception, processing and distribution of images, of polar-orbiting satellites in L-Band, today (NOAA/HRPT), to operate in Band X/L (Terra / Aqua / MODIS, NPP, FY3 METOP-B and / AHRPT / NOAA / HRPT).

Brazilian Congress of Oceanography – CBO’2012

CBO 2012LUNUS attend on November 13th to 16th, 2012, in Rio de Janeiro, the Brazilian Congress of Oceanography.
This is the main event of this segment in the country, where it is expected an audience of approximately 3000 visitors, including students and professionals, and the presentation of 1,200 technical-scientific works.
Parallel to the congress occur VII Fair Brazil Ocean, where private companies and public institutions will have the opportunity to present and negotiate services and technologies related to oceanographic research, as well as exchange information on these subjects.

LUNUS prepares to monitor U.S. tests system acquired by IPT

November 5th to 9th, 2012

Foto-Evento-MarcoLUNUS, a company with one of its units installed in the Centro Empresarial I – Technological Park – São José dos Campos, prepares for an important mission in the United States during the week of November 5th.
During this period, tests will be performed simulation of system operation, at the factory Accudyne Engineering & Equipment Company – LUNUS company’s partner in the project.
Once this step, the system will be dismantled and transported to Brazil for their final installation in the Laboratory of Lightweight Structures (LEL), at the Institute of Technological Research of the State of São Paulo (IPT), also located in the nucleus of the Technological Park – São José dos Campos.
The forecast for the beginning of the installation is the first quarter of 2013, and will take about a month, until the system is actually installed and trained all users. “We are very keen to track this important event contract ”, says Marco Antonio de Almeida, LUNUS´s staff, that the delegation will meet with the IPT technique for testing in the U.S.. “LUNUS has experience with contracts of this size”, complete the engineers and owners of LUNUS, Etiene, Rosemary Schneider and Marcus Moraes.

System – LUNUS won the international bidding process, conducted in 2011, for the supply of an automatic system for superplastic forming for Lightweight Structures Laboratory (LEL) of IPT.
The system comprises a hydraulic actuator and a reaction frame of a furnace equipped with a pneumatic circuit and a control system for superplastic forming of sheet aluminum and titanium.
LEL – The Laboratory of Lightweight Structures, under construction, whose implementation is the responsibility of the IPT aims to promote the development of structures and technical components for high-performance mechanical support with minimal weight. The laboratory is part of the Center for Technological Development in Aeronautics Technological Park.

Company – LUNUS operates in engineering, manufacturing, trade, services and representation. In the space area, focuses on TT & C stations, remote sensing (stations for receiving and processing various satellites and spectroradiometers), telemetry, satellite qualification testing, feasibility studies and infrastructure nanosatellites rocket launch. In the environmental area, its focus is on instrumentation for meteorology, oceanography and hydrology.
