Soil Moisture Sensor Model 3051
Technical Characteristics:
The Model 3051 Soil Moisture Sensor measures the dielectric constant of soil, which is directly related to water content. The probe consists of a electronic module encapsulated in one end of the cylindrical housing and a moisture sensing element. The sensor measures an 18" section of soil starting 1/2" up from the bottom. The sensor can be placed in any direction or depth but must be in direct contact with the soil.
