SyQwest, Inc. was founded in 2003. SyQwest, Inc. acquired Ocean Data Equipment Corporation's product line in March of 2003. The original company was established in 1969 to produce oceanographic instrumentation and related products. In 1987 ODEC acquired the highly successful and reliable Raytheon Bathymetric and Doppler Speed Log product lines. These products have been updated and presently SyQwest, Inc. offers a complete line of bathymetric systems consisting of shallow, medium and deep echo sounders, tow fish, parametric narrow beam sonars, bottom and subbottom classification software processors, Doppler speed log systems and related peripherals. The company specializes in customizing standard products to meet customer specific applications.
